St. Jude House Community Partnerships
St. Jude House Family Violence Prevention Center and Shelter (SJH) in Crown Point has been an anchor in the community since 1995, providing shelter, basic needs, and dynamic programming to victims of domestic violence at no cost to more than 14,000 women, children and more than a dozen men.
“Because our programs and services are 100% free of charge, Community Partners are essential to our organization,” said Executive Director, Ryan Elinkowski.
Highlighted below is a group of Nipsco employees who came out for their volunteer day at St. Jude House. They completed some much needed “handyman” jobs, cleared out large garbage items from our basement, weeded and trimmed the landscaping areas and completely deep-cleaned and organized the client kitchen and bathrooms. In addition to all of this, they discovered one of our ovens was broken so they provided a very generous monetary donation which enabled us to purchase a new one! Thank you so much to Nipsco for their continued support.
