St. Jude House is a safe emergency shelter and family violence prevention center committed to providing transformational, compassionate and comprehensive programs and services to those whose lives have been touched by abuse of any kind. Our 40-bed residential community in Crown Point, Indiana, serves hundreds of adults and children every year.
Shelter and crisis intervention services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All services are provided free of charge.
St. Jude House is committed to offering compassionate and comprehensive services in a trauma-informed care environment to each person who seeks shelter and/or services on their journey to an independent and violence-free life, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability or other status applicable by law.
Residential clients live communally and contribute to daily household tasks. St. Jude House strives to provide all the comforts of home, including clothing and toiletries. While the average length of stay varies, each situation and circumstance is evaluated independently based on a variety of factors such as the availability of resources and individual service plans.
