Discover Advocacy Services

You are not alone. Our advocates are here to listen, support you, and help you make a plan that fits your life.

Services are free, private, and for all ages.

What Is an Advocate?

An advocate is a trained helper who supports you without judgment.

They can:

  • Listen to your story in a safe space
  • Explain your options in clear, simple language
  • Help you make a safety plan
  • Connect you to housing, jobs, food, healthcare, and more
  • Support you with legal next steps if you choose

You stay in control. We follow your lead.

Advocacy for Adults

We meet you where you are, whether you are leaving, staying, or unsure.

  • One-on-one support and safety planning
  • Help with resources (housing, work, transportation)
  • Support groups and healing activities
  • Referrals for counseling and healthcare

Advocacy for Children & Teens

Violence affects kids, too. We offer care that fits their age and needs.

  • Safe, supportive one-on-one time
  • Activities to help with feelings and coping
  • Parenting support and school coordination (with your permission)
  • Family sessions when helpful

Parents and caregivers choose what feels right for their family.

Community-Based Support (In Person or Online)

If you cannot come to the shelter, we can meet you online or in safe community locations.

  • Private conversations and safety planning
  • Help with paperwork and appointments
  • Flexible times to fit your schedule

What to Expect When You Reach Out

  1. A caring hello. We will ask how you are doing and if you are safe
  2. Your goals. You decide what you want help with
  3. A simple plan. We will outline next steps you can take now—or later
  4. Ongoing support. We can keep working with you as long as you need

You never have to share more than you are comfortable sharing.

Your Privacy Matters

Your information is confidential. We will not share your story without your permission, unless required for safety.
