GIVING THROUGH “HOUSE” WORK
Area Allstate Agency Help St. Jude House on Saturday, June 22nd
Wednesday, June 19, 2013, Crown Point, Indiana. – A community crew is gearing up to lend a hand and give through “house” work– not just any house — St. Jude House. On Saturday, June 22nd, twenty-four members of the community will assist in several needed projects at St. Jude House. Eighteen are employees and family members from the Eric Miller Allstate agency in Crown Point. Miller also serves as a board member with St. Jude House. Lambert Concrete is donating the labor and equipment. Six women from Plum Mom’s Club will also be participating and helping in various projects on the 22nd. Some of the day’s projects will include painting a bedroom – used for St. Jude House clients, spreading mulch throughout the property, adding additional space to a concert basketball pad, installing a new basketball net and other various yard maintenance projects. “We are extremely excited about this work day at St. Jude House,” said Mary E. Govert, Executive Director St. Jude House. “The continued monetary and in-kind support from Allstate and Allstate associates and family members allows us to continue serving families in Northwest Indiana.”
